Shawanna Renee Rivon Curator
ShaWanna Renee Rivon is an award-winning and nationally renowned playwright who combines art and history. ShaWanna earned her BFA in Playwriting and Dramaturgy from the University of Houston. As a developing creative, ShaWanna discovered her niche and artists mission: to create period-piece comedies centered around the lives of Black women. In this, she has begun the development of her 7-play cycle, and thus far two plays take place in Houston’s Third Ward. Power to the Queendom, was developed with the Rec Room Writers. Set in 1970s Houston’s Third Ward, the script is about a group of female Black Panthers is loosely based on a true story about the assassination of Carl Hampton. Also,You’re Cordially Invited to Sit-In is about the 1960 sit-in demonstration that took place in Houston’s Third Ward, will have its world-premiere at Stages Theatre Spring 2022.

Formed in the fall of 2017 by two college friends, Nine30 Productions is a Houston based collaborative endeavor between Relisa Franklin and Cesar Gochez. The duo came together to offer their individual and unique talents towards writing, directing and producing not only their own quality focused film projects, but those of others as well.

Relisa Franklin discovered a hidden passion of hers while attending a stage play, writing. She stayed at the end of the show and listened to ShaWanna Renee Rivon (writer of the play) speak. Hearing her speech inspired Relisa to go back to college and pursue writing and filmmaking.
Since then, she has been in commercials ads, modeling shows, plays, and short films. While obtaining a bachelor’s degree in communications, Relisa continued to work on perfecting her craft and learning as much as possible about the entertainment business by attending ShaWanna’s Silly Charm School. On September 30, 2017, Relisa and her college friend, Cesar Gochez, formed the business, Nine30 Productions to write and produce quality films. Watch as this unknown talent ignites into an amazing entertainer!

Cesar Gochez

From an early age, Cesar Gochez has always had a desire to be a filmmaker. Growing up and watching movies (especially horror movies) instilled a love for the medium that continues to this day. Inspired from the likes of revered filmmakers such as Wes Craven, Quentin Tarantino, and Steven Spielberg - Cesar has continued to hone his talents over the last twenty years with no plans to stop.

Colby Wilson
Project Manager
Colby Wilson, founder of Dynasty Creatives, creates epic experiences by creating an organized plan to execute an artistic mission. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre, Dynasty Creatives is the manifestation of all the things Colby is passionate about; high quality artistic programming, strategic organizing and planning, and a platform to engage the community. Colby began in production and programming as an intern with the National Black Arts Festival. After college, Colby taught English courses and developed a performing arts program at Horizon English in Haining City, China. Upon returning to Atlanta, Colby began work as the Production Coordinator for The City of Atlanta's Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs. Colby's primary focus was the Atlanta Jazz Festival (AJF). Working as an event manager and educator helped to carve a unique lane in the area of Creative Direction. Colby's work experiences paired with his unwavering passion gave birth to Dynasty Creatives. Colby is currently a graduate student at University of Houston, pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Arts Leadership.
